Description:

Axis 9 develops the graphic language of EVE into one of its most architectural silhouettes. A predominantly white linen body is framed by sweeping black sections that travel vertically through the garment, emphasizing height while defining the exaggerated volume of the lower form.

The upper construction combines an open-shoulder silhouette with voluminous linen sleeves, balancing exposed skin against controlled fullness. Black shoulder panels frame the white center, while the small red rectangular chest accent introduces a precise interruption of color.

At the waist, a structured system of black straps and metal hardware draws the garment inward before releasing into the dramatically expanded lower silhouette. This contrast between a tightly articulated waist and generous linen volume gives Axis 9 its distinctive proportion.

Below the waist, the dress expands into a long sculptural form. Broad black side panels visually carve through the white linen, while the lower volume gradually gathers toward the ankles and is tightened with lace ties, creating the characteristic EVE dialogue between expansion and restraint.

The coordinating sculptural hat extends the same geometry upward. Its broad white surface is crossed by disciplined black linear graphics, creating a strong architectural frame around the face. An attached scarf introduces a softer moving element to the otherwise graphic construction.

Axis 9 is built around line, compression and release. Black defines structure, white creates volume and space, and red appears only as a deliberate point of emphasis. The result is a silhouette that feels simultaneously ceremonial, utilitarian and futuristic—an expression of EVE’s continuing study of proportion and order.
