Description:

Axis 8 explores EVE through an inversion of proportion and color: a restrained white upper structure set against an expansive black linen foundation. Red is reduced to a series of deliberate interventions, creating visual tension between the collection’s three defining colors.

The white linen sleeveless top is relaxed through the body and carries a bold black geometric composition across the front. Its simplicity allows the graphic element to become part of the architecture rather than surface decoration.

A substantial red belt sharply defines the waist, separating the white upper body from the dramatically voluminous black trousers. The trousers expand into oversized sculptural legs before gathering tightly at the ankles with contrasting white ties, creating the characteristic EVE tension between volume and restraint.

Oversized white linen patch pockets interrupt the black surface on both sides. Their clean rectangular construction emphasizes utility, while a small red square applied to one pocket establishes an intentionally asymmetric point of color.

The sculptural conical hat completes the composition with bold black geometry over a light surface and controlled red accents. An attached scarf extends from the hat, introducing softness and movement against its rigid architectural form.

Axis 8 brings together several recurring ideas within EVE—geometry, utility, exaggerated proportion and controlled asymmetry. The natural movement of linen prevents the graphic construction from becoming rigid, allowing an otherwise highly structured composition to remain tactile and wearable.
