Description:
EVE / Axis 2 continues the graphic language introduced by Axis while moving toward a softer, more fluid interpretation of architectural form. Constructed in textured white linen, the garment combines the familiarity of a robe with the proportions of a sculptural dress. Generous sleeves and an expansive lower body create movement around the figure, while a wide black belt draws the volume tightly into the waist, establishing a precise central axis.
A continuous black border travels from the skirt upward and around the deep neckline, creating an uninterrupted graphic structure against the white linen. Matching black bands follow the sleeves, while the belt wraps cleanly around the waist and ties at the back, allowing the silhouette to be adjusted while preserving the purity of the front. The voluminous lower section continues the language of Axis I, gathering near the hem to reveal a contrasting black underlayer and suspended drawcord details.
Two concentrated red elements interrupt the black-and-white composition: a small geometric patch at the chest and an oversized functional red pocket positioned asymmetrically on the skirt. A corresponding small red element appears beneath the back neckline, creating a deliberate visual relationship between front and back. The restrained use of red transforms these details into punctuation rather than decoration.
The coordinating sculptural hat extends the garment's graphic vocabulary through hand-drawn black geometric markings and a singular red dot accent. Its exaggerated conical geometry contrasts with the softness and natural irregularity of the linen, bringing together the ceremonial, architectural and utilitarian qualities central to EVE.
